Zhengzhou Haima (Haima Car Co., Ltd.), a division of Haima Group based in Zhengzhou, Henan, announced today the market launch of the "Aishang" supermini, priced between 35,800 Yuan (5,673 US dollars) and 45,800 Yuan (7,261 US dollars). Developed on basis of Prince, the first model in the Haima 1 series, Aishang features a new, more powerful 1.0L engine (the Haima-built HMA GM10-VF1), developing 55kW of power at 6000rpm and 96Nm of torque at 4000rpm (compared with Prince’s LJ465Q-2ANE6 1.0 liter rated 45kW/5600rpm and 85Nm/3200-3600rpm). All of the four models are provided with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Weighing 888kg, Aishang has a 2333mm wheelbase, standing 3662mm long, 1540mm wide, and 1495mm tall. It is marginally longer and higher than Prince.
For anyone who desire basic convenience and safety features, the two lower trim levels should be avoided, as they have no power steering, air conditioner, power doors, or airbags. The top trim level provides two front airbags, ABS/EBD, crash-sensing doors, power windows/doors/exterior mirrors, and a CD player.
Towards the end of this year, Aishang is said to get an additional, 1.2L engine option.
