Changan Auto premiered its new CDV (car-derived van), Eu-love ("Ouliwei" in Chinese), at the show, which is set to hit the market in March 2013. Built at Changan’s Nanjing factory, Eu-love is based on the VOSS concept displayed two years ago at the Shanghai auto show. It is so named partly because it was designed in Europe by Changan’s Italian office.
3800mm long, 1700mm wide, and 1680mm high, the five-seater van has a 2505mm wheelbase and weighs about 1095kg without loads. With a uni-body structure, it aims to be a low-cost but comfortable people carrier, selling for less than 50,000 Yuan.
Two engine options will be provided: Changan’s E-Power 1.2 and 1.4 liter. Both will be matched with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
