  • 2003: Mazda6 rolled off the production line at FAW Car’s plant in Changchun on January 21 and hit the market on April 12.
  • 2005: FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co., Ltd. was founded on March 1. FAW Car had a 56% stake in the joint venture, FAW Group 4%, Mazda 40%.
  • 2006: Mazda3 was released on March 8, Mazda6 Sport on May 31, Mazda Wagon on September 19.
  • 2007: The imported Mazda5 MPV was released on December 8.
  • 2009: Changchun-made second-gen Mazda6, called "Ruiyi" in China, hit the market in April. The imported Mazda CX-7 was released in November.
  • 2010: Mazda8 rolled off the production line on November 27 and went on sale on December 15.
  • 2013: China-made Mazda CX-7 was unveiled at the Shanghai motor show in April and to be released in the fourth quarter.
