  • 1995: Fujian Auto Industry Group and Taiwan’s China Motor (a branch of Yulon Group) jointly founded Soueast Motor in November.
  • 1996: The first Soueast Delica, built with Mitsubishi technology, rolled off the production line in July.
  • 1999: Soueast opened new plant in Qingkou, Fuzhou, which could produce up to 60,000 vehicles a year.
  • 2000: The first Soueast Freeca, built with Mitsubishi technology, rolled off the line at the Qingkou plant in March.
  • 2002: The 100,000th Soueast car rolled off the line in November.
  • 2003: Soueast Lancer went on sale in March. Soueast’s annual production capacity increased to 150,000 units.
  • 2004: Soueast Soveran, derived from Mitsubishi Space Wagon, rolled off the line in June.
  • 2005: Soueast Freeca Landio SUV was released in May, Veryca in December.
  • 2006: Mitsubishi took a stake in Soueast in April. Mitsubishi Lancer and Soveran were released in the next month. In November, Mitsubishi Galant hit the market.
  • 2007: Soueast-built Chrysler Grand Voyager went on sale in September, Dodge Caravan in November.
  • 2008: Soueast V3 (Lingyue) was released in October, Mitsubishi Zinger in December.
  • 2009: Mitsubishi Lancer EX hit showrooms in November.
  • 2011: Soueast C1 (Xiwang) microvan was released in February.
  • 2012: Soueast V5 (Lingzhi) went on sale in September.
  • 2013: Soueast V6 (Lingshi) went on sale in April, Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis in August.
