The Arrizo M7 is in substance a re-styled Chery Rely V5 (Chery V5) MPV (the Rely marque was ditched in early 2013). The Rely V5, released in September 2009, was in turn an MPV variant of Chery Eastar, or a re-badged Chery Eastar Cross. Only 1,183 units of the V5 were sold in 2013. In 2014, sales further diminished to just 200.
The seven-seat MPV bearing the Arrizo nameplate will be released in April 2015 when the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show opens. It will sit on a 2800mm wheelbase and be 4730mm long, 1823mm wide, and 1590mm tall. Two petrol engine options will be provided: a 97kW 1.8 liter and 102kW 2.0 liter.
